JERRY CAN CLEANING DAY

June 23, 2012

Today is jerry can cleaning day at the school. This is Annette rocking our Reality Over Fantasy tee. Annette is one of the more than 700 students who now enjoy access to clean, safe water because of the BNE movement and our friends at Drink Local Drink Tap!

We have only nine of these tees left. Black XL and XXL only. Get one here and help spread the word.

RECYCLED FISH SCULPTURE

June 23, 2012

A giant fish sculpture constructed from discarded plastic bottles at Botafogo beach in Rio de Janeiro. The city is host to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, or Rio+20, which runs through June 22. Aside from providing a beautiful and surprising installation on the beach, the plastic sculptures also symbolize the threat of over-consumption on our ecosystem, specifically marine life. Each day, the world consumption of plastic bottles reaches epic proportions, with many being thrown into landfills rather than simply being recycled.

UGANDA PROJECT UPDATE 2

June 20, 2012

Our clean water project in Mulajje Village, Uganda was a success! Thousands of people now have access to safe water because we stepped up and decided to do something. This first photo is of the very first jerry can being filled.

We will post a more complete summary of this project and better quality photos and video a little later when everyone is back in the U.S. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this project! We changed the lives of thousands of people but this is just a drop in the bucket. About one billion people are still living without access to clean water. We are just getting started and do not plan on resting until everyone on the planet has access to this basic necessity. Thanks for caring!

UGANDA PROJECT UPDATE

June 10, 2012

SO EXCITED! WE HIT WATER!

Our partner Erin who laid all the groundwork for this project is in Uganda putting all the money we raised to use. We have repaired a well and implemented a filtration program in Indonesia but this is the first well that we actually drilled so we are really excited. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making this a reality! This is only the beginning! We will have high quality video and photos from the field a little later but for now check out our progress via these quick cell phone shots.

BNE ARTWORK RELEASE

June 01, 2012

We are still short on funds for our clean water project in Uganda and are starting work in less than a month! Our office has received a lot of inquiries about BNE artwork so I figured that this would be a good way to raise the rest of the money needed to get these kids clean water. These are not prints. Each tag is hand done on a 3mm PVC sheet that measures 20″ x 26″. The two colorways, silver on black and black on white are each limited to an edition of 100. Each multiple is numbered with a signed message on the back and are available for purchase in our gallery now. I have purposely priced these to be very affordable so that they end up in the right hands. Also, so that they will sell quickly and serve the purpose of funding our project in Uganda. $150 + shipping. Each multiple will provide at least seven people in need with access to clean water for decades to come.

Thanks for caring.

BNE ONE

P.S. This will be the last time that I sell any type of original painting or hand-done artwork. Spending time on canvas or paper has never really been my thing. I hope these go to people who know and respect the history and not people looking to flip them.
